Body technique is a new kinesiological activity that has been attracting more and more attention in the field of sports, recreation and rehabilitation in the last decade.
If you strive for a beautifully formed, functional and healthy body, and you do not have time - Body technique is the optimal choice for your recreation because in a short time you will effectively work on all components of health fitness. The body technique adapts to all characteristics and conditions of men, women and children, adolescents, pregnant women, nursing mothers, adults and the disabled.
Body technique is a registered and protected method of exercise at the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Croatia. It is practiced in Croatia, Slovenia, Great Britain, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
Ana-Marija Jagodić Rukavina
Fifteen years ago, body technique was innovated by Ana-Marija Jagodić Rukavina, Master of Kinesiology, working with a client who, as the manager of a large private company, lived a fast-paced life and experienced stress on a daily basis. The results of her work and the quality of the Body technique are evidenced by the fact that this technique has been taught at the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb for years with professional, scientific, diploma and master's theses. All Body Techniques exercises are therapeutic, and their source is in several well-known exercise techniques (classical Pilates, gymnastics, dance, yoga), but again they are completely different from everything seen so far. The professional background of the technique is confirmed by numerous researches and the master's thesis of the innovator of the technique, master Ana-Marija Jagodić Rukavina.

Individual programs of Body technique are specific in several categories: Engagement and assistance of instructors, special cyclic warm-up (body spinning or body tracking) with awareness of deep movements and a recognisable equally important end of the class with manipulations and relaxation. That is why our classes are significantly different from other sports trainings and allow the practitioner to practice new exercises, challenges and learning every hour. With the prior reservation of an appointment, the individual lesson includes work on specially designed devices and aids for various, multifunctional and maximum safe exercise. Individual trainings lasting 60 minutes are recommended for absolutely all age groups because the goals and tasks are programmed every hour depending on your wishes, psychophysical health condition, age and condition. With an individual program, we adapt to your current capabilities and needs and teach you proper breathing, posture and use of deep muscles that you did not care about before, and are extremely important for your psychophysical health, vitality and beauty. In our trainings you will encounter demanding exercises from the feet to the neck and you will learn to activate the deep muscles responsible for the health of your organs and hormones.

It begins with the initial holistic check-up with Master Jagodić Rukavina. If necessary, testing of the muscle imbalance of the painful joint on a Biodex isokinetic machine follows, followed by two to three individual treatments per week together with a body instructor. The results are visible after 2 to 4 arrivals.

After emotional crises, difficult life situations, the most important thing is to give the body a mild but deeply stimulating stimulus to wake up and start anew. This way of working (some call it “psychotherapy and movement meditation”) is then needed by everyone regardless of age. The best results can be expected by combining individual hours of energy Body Technique and coming to training and BHS workshops after only two to three months. For long-term results, we encourage a change in environmental relationships, sleep, diet, and a change in some daily habits that become unnecessary for you according to your new energy state.

With an individual approach, we can optimally adapt to your needs for lifting fitness, reducing fat deposits, but also the characteristics of your chosen sport. If you are an active athlete, one to two individual visits per week to the PBS Centre are sufficient. In case you do not have a targeted sport, and you want to regain your former condition or lose weight, three visits a week will return you to top sports form in two to three months and your body will take on a new shape, tone, and vitality.
PBS represents 45-minute continuous workouts in small homogeneous groups of up to 8 members.
Every hour, the props which you use are changed, which satisfies the principle of diversity and fun during exercise. In group classes, you can find well-known props used in sports, rehabilitation, or recreation, but you will also come across completely unexpected props such as body bell, stools, gravity pendulum, bungee rubber, etc.
It is recommended to anyone who has previously had experience with Body technique, Pilates, Yoga, Aerobics, Dance, or any other activities without complaining of painful conditions or illnesses. People who have not yet encountered the Body technique, and have a desire to exercise in a group, should go through an individual lesson to learn the basics of proper body movement according to the principles of the Body technique.
A program focused on pelvic floor muscle activation and function. It helps with various problems of uterine prolapse, incontinence, and a feeling of weakness of the front or backline of the pelvic diaphragm. The exercises we do belong to the philosophy of Body Technique and are an upgrade to Kegel's isolated exercises that very often the participants do not perform properly, so they can do more harm than good. We integrate the muscles of the feet, legs, buttocks, and back in the process of awareness and recovery of this sensitive area with the inevitable control of proper breathing. In addition, we release any compression to the pudendal nerve and generally increase blood flow and motility of the lumbopelvic region. This approach has proven to be equally effective for the male and female populations and the most prominent results are observed in the increased quality of intimate and social life.
A program aimed at educating and practically raising awareness of pregnant women. Work on conscious and proper breathing depending on the stage of pregnancy, but also the position of the abdomen, which greatly affect the biomechanics of the diaphragm and the connective tension in the body of the pregnant woman. Work aimed at strengthening and properly relaxing the pelvic floor muscles, raising and maintaining fitness with postural correction and stimulation of lymphatic circulation. In addition to the exercise segment, we pay great attention to the education of pregnant women, the changes that their body goes through in each trimester, helping them to adequately prepare them for childbirth (physical, mental and emotional), but also the postpartum period. With the Body technique, we follow every pregnant woman in a complete, natural and holistic way, from a happy pregnancy to happy motherhood in which pregnant women and future mothers are positive, cheerful, present, and aware in their body, mind, and spirit!
We have created a small academy of active living in just 1 to 3 visits per week which are intended for children and young people aged 6 to 16 years. We want to shift children’s focus from a stressful, fast-paced, virtual, and static life to themselves and offer them solutions on how to become healthier and safer members of society.
In a program that is conducted individually or in small groups (3 to 5), all basic motor skills are treated, often insufficiently developed through play and in school, and they are extremely important for success in sports. In addition, the program includes the basics of education in healthy eating, the anatomy of the locomotor system, physiological processes in the development of the child's body, and psychological topics dealing with awareness, self-confidence, motivation, nonverbal communication, emotions, and positive attitude of young people towards life.
Our mission is to build a quality foundation of psychophysical knowledge, skills, and abilities of children and young people and to educate and encourage them to live an active life and a positive attitude about their own body.

Our hormones change throughout life. Thanks to them, the body is renewed. The entire endocrine system is therefore our main regulatory system that promotes cell division, growth and differentiation. It consists of glands in which hormones are synthesised under the influence of internal and external information. By moving a specific target region of the body, we improve circulation. When breathing, movement and touch are directed to one gland than its function is affected and that is the secretion of a specific hormone. We have created a very simple protocol of Body Technique exercises which we have shown in a pilot study to help balance the hormonal system as a whole.
Lymph is our cleanser of the body. Its stagnation means stagnation of vital energy and also a disease. Its stimulation in our country is done through exercises for the feet and lower legs, through diaphragmatic breathing, and through special energy massage stimulants with which we encourage and open the lymphatic system to move independently and clean the body.
Body Healing Story is a group method that combines the healing properties of music (528 Hz), movement, and thought for the purpose of bringing the body into natural balance. In group work, great learning and sharing are achieved, thus encouraging the natural intelligence of one's own body that can self-heal, renew, and uplift. We need a group for support, for a mirror, and for the strength of the changes that lie ahead. The moment we bring our body and our mind into harmony, we are ready for a change of perception, a new outlook on life, healing, and a higher level of consciousness.
